Madura Coats, part of Coats, the world’s leading industrial thread manufacturer, in collaboration with Permess International has opened a Coats Permess Studio in Bangalore, India to meet the dynamic sampling requirements of customers and help them quickly launch new products and designs.

V Jaigopal, Managing Director India, Coats commented, “The opening of the design studio is an important step in becoming a ‘value added partner’ to our customers by providing a range of garmenting solutions rather than just trim components.”

Coats Permess Studio is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment with in-house sewing, fusing, washing and testing facilities to provide all the required technical and back-end support for garment manufacturers and brands.  With the brand’s new facility and trained people in place, the thread manufacturer will be able to provide samples and technical support within the demanding lead time requirements of the industry. The brand already has an in-house Embroidery Service Center (ESC) at the same site for providing embroidery solutions to brands and manufacturers which will be integrated with the Coats Permess Studio.

Ken Miller, Sales Director, Permess International said, “The Coats Permess Studio will greatly enhance our ability to demonstrate the suitability of specific interlinings to different garment applications and also help customers choose the specific feel and handle they need.”

It may be mentioned here that the two companies had earlier also partnered in 2016 to jointly promote, sell and distribute interlining products for the Indian market and successfully delivered full range of superior woven, non-woven and tricot interlinings catering to both exporters and premium domestic manufacturers.
