“We are looking for trading partners in Vietnam,” said Eric Sun, International Commercial Director, Kingdom Holdings Limited, China while talking to Apparel Resources at the recently concluded SaigonTex 2017.

One of the biggest linen yarn manufacturers in the world, the company was eager to make its presence felt in Vietnam. “This is the first time we are in Vietnam and are interested in knowing the potential of the country. Textile industry here means sewing. Spinning yarn and weaving are still under-developed in Vietnam,” remarked Sun.

Having offices across several countries like India, Italy, Japan, Turkey, Portugal, Korea, Lithuania in addition to China, Kingdom Holdings is, however, optimistic about the Vietnamese market. “Vietnam is a growing and dynamic economy and in next 5 years, linen will be very popular in Vietnam. There are still very few weaving factories in Vietnam and people are yet not familiar with weaving and finishing here but the market will grow,” averred Sun.
