INVISTA Launches Fabric Finder Tool for Intimate Apparel Industry

Leading manufacturer of chemical intermediaries, polymers and fibres, INVISTA has launched a new tool named ‘LYCRA Bra Fabric Finder’, to make life easier for the comfort bra designers. The firm, which boasts of some of the industry’s favourite materials like LYCRA, COOLMAX and THEMROLITE, has created the tool to help lingerie designers in selecting appropriate material with respect to the bra design in an efficient way.

Displayed at recently concluded Interfilière Paris, the world’s biggest fabric sourcing show for intimates, swimwear and active wear; LYCRA Bra Fabric Finder has been created in response to the growing shift towards comfort and athleisure in the intimate apparel industry. “Casual bras are not a fad that will die out. Their widespread, global appeal represents a style evolution, and the LYCRA® Bra Fabric Finder™ will make it easier than ever before for brands to meet this growing demand and gain a larger market share,” explained Melissa Minihan, Marketing VP, Intimate Apparel, INVISTA.

The Fabric Finder tool takes away half the pain that goes into creating the perfect casual bra and with a very simple working style wherein designers just need to select the level of comfort and support they aim for, as well as the shaping style. The INVISTA technology will also suggest the suitable and certified fabrics from handpicked options such as Active, Every Day and Leisure Fabrics curated for the casual bra market.

Through the innovation, even young designers would be able to create the right intimate apparel products for this hitherto untapped segment. As the shift in consumer lifestyle has become more apparent than ever, the market for casual intimates is also predicted to grow exponentially.

INVISTA has always been at the forefront of introducing innovations in the market for man-made textiles and with this new Fabric Finder tool, it further aims to streamline the process of connecting the dots between the right fabric and the end-consumer.
