Rebekka Bay joins Uniqlo as Creative Director of NY Innovation Centre

Japanese fast fashion brand, Uniqlo, has announced appointment of Rebekka Bay as Creative Director of the new research and development centre in New York, effective May 1. After taking charge, Bay will report to Yuki Katsuta, Uniqlo’s Global Head of Research and Development and Senior Vice President of Fast Retailing.

The research centres of Uniqlo located in Tokyo, Shanghai, Los Angeles and Paris are engaged in the task to analyse trends and product developments.

The retailer wants Bay to focus further on North America, while staying positioned in a more casual fashion to better meet the demand of the market.
