Workshop in MP (India) on Special Package

A workshop was reportedly organized in Indian city of Indore in Madhya Pradesh by Textiles Ministry to elaborate about the measures suggested in the Rs. 6,000 crore Special Package announced last year by the Indian Government for the textile and apparel sector, to readymade garments and textile exports units. Indore is known for housing more than 2,000 readymade garments units.

The event was attended by large number of delegates from Indore and Ujjain division, informed officials of Audyogic Kendra Vikas Nigam (AKVN).

Additionally, Madhya Pradesh Government promised to offer all necessary help to those interested in promoting textiles industry in the state. A 65-acre land has also been earmarked by the State Government at Rehta Village in Burhanpur district to set up textile units.
