MP (India) Govt. assures support to promote textile industry in Burhanpur

Madhya Pradesh (India) Government in India has promised to offer all necessary help to those interested in promoting textiles industry in the state. This was informed by Woman and Child Development Minister Archana Chitnis who inaugurated a buyer-seller meet for textile industries organized by the local Powerloom Seva Kendra in Burhanpur .

While speaking at the event she also informed that Indian Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be increasing subsidy under group shed scheme from Rs. 300 per square feet to Rs. 400.

A 65-acre land has been earmarked by the State Government at Rehta Village in Burhanpur district to set up textile units and urged industrialists to file application along with Rs. 25,000 fee for setting up units in the region. Burhanpur is known for banana plantation and cotton. Cloth made from banana trees is a good source of income for farmers here.
