US fashion retailer Calvin Klein has tapped Luella Bartley to take care of the brand’s design and expansions globally. Her participation is quite worthy for the company and her role will be the crucial one. The retailer makes a large part of its revenue from its mainstream produce, which includes denims and underwear. The designer has been appointed under Pieter Mulier, Creative Director, CK, who joined the brand last August.

In the near future, Luella will also handle the brand’s designing aspects which depict the bold, progressive ideals and a seductive and often minimal aesthetic. Previously, she had her own label Hillier Bartley, which is stocked at high-end multi-brand stores such as Matchesfashions.com; My-theresa.com; and Selfridges.

Calvin Klein Jeans has performed pretty well in terms of sales in past few years, particularly in its denim section. With the appointment of Bartley, the iconic apparel brand will be able to focus on expanding the brand name with a clear, concise message.
