IAF to focus on Industry 4.0 and Denim Development at Texprocess Symposium

Messe Frankfurt, the global market leader in trade fairs for the textile industry, has partnered with Indian Apparel Federation to organize sessions on Industry 4.0 and denim development at the upcoming Texprocess Symposium, to be held on 9th-12th May, in Frankfurt, Germany.

A session titled “Implementing Industry 4.0 successfully in the fashion industry” will take place on the first day of the fair. In three sub sessions, IAF members will explain about what the digitization of the industry is capable of, how it is actually implemented now by clothing manufacturers, brands and retailers and finally, how start-ups are using new technology to create new business models and entice consumers. Also, organizations such as Lectra, Gerber, Spesa, Oerlikon, Saxion University, WTiN and Denkendorf will share their insights with the audience.

Another symposia session titled “Developments in denim and lessons for the rest of the industry” will be held on the final day of the fair where in a single round table discussion, innovation in materials and machinery will be the focus point. The discussion will revolve around how materials and machinery is transforming the denim industry creating new value and sustainability and serving as a good example to other sectors of the fashion industry.
